This super-south dive might be the bar that looks more like an actual home than any other in greater Austin. Indian Roller offers music only sparingly, but rolls out a solid array of throwback rock & roll when it does. Groups like Burgess Meredith, the Magic Rockers of Texas, Sweet Nuthin’, and Josh Buckley dot the calendar, with DJs filling the void on nights when bands aren’t booked there. A stage inside works perfect for weeknight gigs. Big local shows like Moving Panoramas, Dikes of Holland, and the occasional roadshow (Har Mar Superstar) set up outside on the lawn.
