COP25: Members of Frontline Communities Describe Life in a Sacrifice Zone

As the world’s eyes turn to Madrid for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Austin-based Texas Interfaith Center for Public Policy/Texas Impact is sending to the Chronicle daily dispatches from the conference.

In this latest video, Nathalie Eddy (Earthworks), Rev. David Wilson Rogers (New Mexico Interfaith Power & Light), and Rebekah Hinojosa (Sierra Club) discuss what it's like living in sacrifice zones, areas that have been permanently altered by environmental damage. In particular, they discuss how the fossil fuel industry has impacted the Permian Basin.
