Behind the Latest AISD Controversy and an Eventful Week for Austin Restaurants

LISTEN: The Austin Chronicle Show on KOOP Community Radio

This week on the show, reporter Morgan O'Hanlon explains what the heck the proposed "seven-of-eight" plan is and why Austin ISD teachers are unhappy about it. Morgan wrote about the proposal, another attempt to address AISD's budget woes, in this week's issue.

In the second half of the program, Food Editor Melanie Haupt recaps an eventful week in the restaurant industry, including the tragic fire that gutted Texas French Bread, the just-announced chef lineup for Luck Reunion's potluck event, and her feature profile this week of Cranky Granny's and other cinnamon rolls to seek out.
