Vegan burger concept goes digital; new burger stand to take its place

On Tuesday, January 3, Plow Burger announced that its Seventh Street brick-and-mortar had closed, along with its sister brand, Brunch Bird.
The Plow Burger trailer at the Buzz Mill Coffee location on East Riverside (1505 Town Creek Dr., to be precise) will close on January 15; Sabala plans to launch an omnivorous burger stand, Buzz Burger, in its place.
The vegan burger operation was founded in 2018 by Isaac Mogannam and Jason Sabala, the founder of Buzz Mill Coffee. At its zenith, Plow Burger had locations in Hyde Park, at Buzz Mill’s East Riverside location, a brick-and-mortar on East Seventh, and a Denton outpost. The Hyde Park location shuttered in August 2022, and the Denton location followed suit in December 2022.
Since his amicable departure from Plow Burger in January 2022, Mogannam has launched two other plant-based concepts, Mission Street Burrito and Fair Game Pinsa & Pasta, both located in the Austinite Market at 3318 Harmon Ave.
Buzz Burger will make its debut at Buzz Mill’s 10th anniversary party on January 20, with $10 burger and beer baskets from 10am-10pm.
